Trip2taste Festival at Marbella Corfu

Marbella Corfu was happy to host its first “Trip2taste Festival” that took place at its premises from 13th to 15th June 2014. The festival was organized by Trip2taste and was a culinary adventure designed to delight food & wine enthusiasts! In addition to the vast array of activities already on offer at Marbella Corfu, “Trip2taste Festival” offered to hotel guests & visitors a myriad of experiences to delight the senses including: specially designed menus with traditional and modern Greek dishes, Greek cooking classes, a grey mullet bottarga tasting, olive oil, olives & Greek cheese tasting, a Greek coffee making corner and Wine Tasting classes.
Most of the events took place at the elegant surroundings of Cascade & Greek restaurants overlooking the pool and the gardens and featured a fantastic variety of specially paired menus starting with a lunch menu dedicated to the cuisine of Corfu. Some of the sumptuous delights on offer included traditional Greek dishes paired with Greek beers or ouzo for lunch as well as Modern Greek dishes paired with wines for dinner. “Taste Greece by the glass”, offered at the bars provided any wine lover with the opportunity to revel in some of the finest wines that Greece has to offer.
Food lovers had the chance to learn about the premium delicacy Grey Mullet Bottarga, in Greek Avgotaraho, the Greek Caviar, through their participation at a special Tasting organized by Trikalinos Company. The famous Greek chef and restaurant owner Effie Gialoussi gave open air Greek cooking classes at the beautiful Marbella Corfu gardens. Last but not least hotel guests had the opportunity to discover the four ambassador varieties of Greek wine through a special tasting by Marina Boutari, 5th generation of Boutari Family winemakers and founder of Trip2taste.
