The Congress has been\u00a0held under the auspices of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Federation of Tourist Enterprises<\/li>\n<li>The Greek Interprofessional Organisation of Grape &amp; Wine<\/li>\n<li>The Greek Federation of Wine<\/li>\n<li>The Central Co-operative of Vine &amp; Wine products<\/li>\n<li>Municipality of Santorini<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Presidents of the Congress are Dr. Paris Tsatras, Tourism Professor at the University of Aegean and Dr. Yiannis Voyatzis, President of the Greek Interprofessional Organisation of Grape &amp; Wine. In Greece Wine Tourism made its first steps in the the 1990s when Boutari winery of Santorini &amp; Boutari winery of Naoussa first opened their doors to the public offering a selection of \u00a0high quality wine tourism services.<\/p>\n<p>Since the 1990s, wine tourism has also begun to attract the interest of the academic community too, as a field of interdisciplinary study and cooperation. In this context, IMIC 2016 Conference aims to record the international contemporary research trends, which will enable the development of new ideas and the exchange of good practices.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0conference is part of the IMIC series, conducted annually since 2004 and it is an initiative of \u201cHeliotopos Conferences\u201d.
